Dancing Heals secure top spot on Shout! Volume 5

Dancing Heals' distinctive, layered synth/guitar pop has earned the five-piece band a solid following in their hometown of Melbourne, Australia. After just ten months playing together, they boldly took themselves on the road to Los Angeles for a four week run of shows that saw them packing out venues like Club Moscow and the Key Club Plush Lounge, and having bookers invite them back. Combining youthful passion, soaring synths and crystal acoustics layered with the subtlety of red wine inebriation; the music lies somewhere between the thump of Arcade Fire, the jangly guitars of Teenage Fan Club and delicacy of Nick Drake, with tales of nostalgia, angst and lust which are tastefully woven into melodic and memorable popular songs.
